I’ve just seen a copy of the new UK postal rates that come into effect from April. And I’m shocked. The rates we use for posting books have risen by an average of 15%. This comes on top of a 10% rise in April 2008.
This will come as a severe blow to all UK businesses, particularly when the economy is in recession.
Although we’ve managed to absorb these increases until now, and have offered free UK delivery on all our printed products, we will not be able to absorb the increase this time.
So, with regret, we will have to start charging for delivery from 6th April 2009.
If you’re thinking of buying one of our books and you live in the UK, be sure to get yours before April if you want to avoid the delivery charge.
The books we currently offer are:
The Date-A-Base Book 2010 (printed copies now available too!)
More books are coming soon – we’ll announce them here as soon as they’re available.
Naturally, all our books are also available as e-books (PDF format) which can be read using Adobe Reader and incur no postage charges (and they’re also a bit cheaper since we don’t have to pay to have them printed).
