Competition: V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize

You’ll have to be quick with this one as the closing date is 28th Feb. If you already have a finished short story in need of a good home, send it in!

The Royal Society of Literature invites entries from published or unpublished writers for The V.S. Pritchett Memorial Prize.

Entries forms are available by sending an SAE to The Secretary, The Royal Society of Literature, Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1LA.  See for more details.

A prize of £1,000 will be awarded for a short story of 2,000-5,000 words.

Entries will be judged by Sebastian Barker, editor of The London Magazine, Candia McWilliam and Piers Paul Read, and the winning story will be published in The London Magazine. Entrants must be citizens of the UK or Republic of Ireland.
